Elpro
Industrial wireless for process, instrumentation, and automation.
ELPRO Technologies builds industrial wireless communications for instrumentation, process control and factory automation -- radios, wireless I/O, gateways, modems and cellular routers that carry signals from field assets back to a PLC, SCADA system or cloud platform. The point of the line is to replace a cable run you cannot justify or cannot dig: a remote wellhead, a pump station across a highway, a tank on the far side of a site. Product families are the Quantum IIoT platform, the Condor wireless I/O and gateway range, cellular and WiFi routers, and a dedicated ALERT2 flood-warning range.
What we carry, by measurement
Pick what you’re measuring.
ELPRO's newest platform, aimed at connecting existing field assets to modern IIoT and cloud systems without replacing the instruments.
Quantum Edge (EL-QE-E-X)
Edge gateway with support for Modbus, DNP3, HART, MQTT and other protocols, edge preprocessing to cut how much data goes to the cloud, remote management and over-the-air updates, and industrial-grade security and device management.
Use it whenUse it when the field devices speak an older protocol and the business wants the data in a cloud or IIoT platform, and when you cannot afford a truck roll every time firmware or configuration changes. The edge preprocessing matters most where the link is cellular and metered.
Quantum Classic (EL-QE-C-X)
A Quantum platform variant alongside Quantum Edge.
Use it whenUse it when the site needs the Quantum platform but not the full edge processing and cloud-management feature set of Quantum Edge. Confirm the exact split with ELPRO for a specific project.
Quantum GO WiFi (EL-QGW)
WiFi member of the Quantum GO range.
Use it whenUse it where usable WiFi coverage already exists and the job is to get field data onto that network rather than to build a radio path.
Quantum GO I/O (EL-QGI)
I/O member of the Quantum GO range.
Use it whenUse it when the requirement is to pick up discrete or analog points in the field and get them back on the Quantum platform.
The workhorse range for moving I/O points and Modbus traffic over a radio path. Choose within it by distance, by whether you need a mesh, and by what power is available.
415U-2 long range wireless Ethernet I/O and gateway
Long-range wireless Ethernet I/O and gateway unit.
Use it whenUse it when the remote site is far enough that shorter-range radios will not hold a link, and you need both I/O and a gateway in one box.
415U-1 Condor Series battery powered wireless I/O
Battery-powered wireless I/O.
Use it whenUse it when there is no power at the measurement point at all -- a remote tank, a valve pit, a monitoring point where running power costs more than the instrument.
415U-BSR Condor Series redundant base station repeater
Redundant base station repeater.
Use it whenUse it when the radio network carries something you cannot afford to lose and a single base station is a single point of failure.
925U-2-900/868 wireless mesh networking and I/O
Wireless mesh networking and I/O on 900 and 868 MHz.
Use it whenUse a mesh when terrain, buildings or tanks block clean point-to-point paths and you would rather have nodes relay for each other than build towers.
915U-2 wireless mesh networking I/O and gateway
Wireless mesh networking I/O and gateway.
Use it whenUse it as the mesh option where you also need gateway function at the same node.
215U-2 WiFi Ethernet I/O and gateway
WiFi Ethernet I/O and gateway.
Use it whenUse it inside a plant where WiFi infrastructure already exists and the distances are short.
115E-2 Ethernet networking I/O and gateway
Wired Ethernet networking I/O and gateway.
Use it whenUse it where Ethernet cable already reaches and you need the same I/O and gateway behaviour as the wireless units, so one system covers wired and wireless nodes.
115S serial expansion I/O
Serial expansion I/O for Modbus or WIB-NET applications.
Use it whenUse it to add I/O points to an existing node over serial rather than adding another radio.
Point-to-point and point-to-multipoint radio links where the job is to carry a network or serial connection, not to terminate I/O.
415U-E long range wireless Ethernet modem
Long-range licensed and unlicensed wireless Ethernet modem.
Use it whenUse it when you need to extend an Ethernet network over a long path and the site can use licensed spectrum for a cleaner, protected link.
945U-E1 wireless high-speed long-range Ethernet modem
High-speed, long-range wireless Ethernet modem.
Use it whenUse it when the link is long and the bandwidth matters -- more than polling a handful of registers.
245U-E-A1 and 245U-E-G1 wireless high-speed Ethernet modems
High-speed wireless Ethernet modems in two variants.
Use it whenUse them for shorter high-speed Ethernet links; confirm which variant matches the frequency approval for the installation country.
For sites where the carrier network is the cheapest path back, or where there is no line of sight to anything you own.
645M-4 cellular and WiFi IIoT router
Combined cellular and WiFi IIoT router.
Use it whenUse it at a remote site with cellular coverage where you also want local WiFi for technicians or nearby devices.
641M-X IoT connectivity 4G-LTE router
4G-LTE IoT connectivity router.
Use it whenUse it when the only requirement is a reliable cellular data path back from an isolated asset and there is no radio infrastructure to build onto.
A separate, purpose-built range for flood warning and disaster management, using the ALERT2 protocol that public agencies specify.
ERT-A2 ALERT2 flood monitoring system
ALERT2 flood monitoring remote system.
Use it whenUse it when the customer is a flood control district, county or agency whose network is specified as ALERT2 -- general-purpose telemetry will not satisfy that requirement.
115E-2-A2 ALERT and flood warning gateway
Gateway for ALERT and flood warning networks.
Use it whenUse it to bring ALERT2 field data into the agency's base station or SCADA system.
ERTK-A2 field test kit
Field test kit for the ALERT2 range.
Use it whenUse it when crews need to commission or troubleshoot ALERT2 sites without hauling a full spare station.
The parts that decide whether a radio link actually works. Antenna and feed selection is usually where a marginal path is won or lost.
400 MHz antennas
Antennas for 400 MHz systems, with a separate US and Canada listing.
Use it whenSpecify these with licensed 400 MHz radios, and check the US and Canada variant for domestic projects.
800 and 900 MHz antennas
Antennas for 800 and 900 MHz systems.
Use it whenSpecify with the 900 MHz unlicensed mesh and I/O radios that most North American industrial sites use.
Condor Series HMI DemoSet
Demonstration and test kit for the Condor series.
Use it whenUse it to prove a radio path and show the customer live I/O before committing to a full installation.
