DelVal Flow Controls
Butterfly and ball valves, actuators, and valve automation.
DelVal Flow Controls makes quarter-turn isolation valves and the automation to drive them: resilient-seated, lined, double-offset and triple-offset butterfly valves, floating and trunnion-mounted ball valves, and pneumatic and electric actuators with position feedback. The company describes itself as founded in 2005 with an ISO 9001-2015 quality system, and its pitch is a fully integrated valve-plus-actuator package with a 3-year warranty rather than a specialty niche.
What we carry, by measurement
Pick what you’re measuring.
Rubber-seated butterfly valves to API 609 and BS EN 593, tested to API 598 and BS EN 12266-1. This is the volume end of the line.
Series 50/52 Resilient Seated
The standard wafer (50) and lug (52) resilient-seated butterfly valve, 2 in. to 24 in., cast iron, ductile iron or carbon steel body, nylon-coated or Aroxy ductile iron or CF8M disc, EPDM, Buna-N, FKM or silicone seat. Series 5A and 5B are the alternate stem sizes. Carries NSF-61 and 372.
Use it whenuse it when you want general-service on-off or coarse throttling on water, slurry-free utility lines and low-pressure process. Class 125 to 175 psig in 2 in. to 12 in. and 150 psi in 14 in. to 24 in., with a 230 psig option. If the customer is on potable water, this is the NSF-listed choice.
Series 51/53 Large Diameter Resilient Seated
The large-bore resilient-seated valve, 26 in. to 40 in., 150 psig, wafer (51) or U-section wafer with lugs drilled not tapped (53).
Use it whenuse it when the line is bigger than 24 in. and still low pressure - intake, outfall, large cooling water headers. Above 24 in. the Series 50/52 stops, so this is the continuation, not an upgrade.
Series 56/57 Resilient Seated for Higher Pressures, Wafer and Lug
Resilient seat rated to 285 psig in 2 in. to 24 in. and 230 psig in 26 in. to 48 in., sizes 2 in. to 48 in., body in cast iron, ductile iron, carbon steel or stainless.
Use it whenuse it when a rubber-seated butterfly is the right valve style but 150 psi is not enough - pump discharge, higher-head water systems, fire service pressures. Straight step up from Series 50/52 without moving to high-performance.
Series 58 Resilient Seated for Higher Pressures, Double Flanged
Same higher-pressure resilient-seat design in a double-flanged body, 2 in. to 48 in.
Use it whenuse it when the spec calls for a double-flanged body rather than wafer or lug - common on buried, large-diameter or municipal work where the valve must be removable without dropping the line.
Series 5C/5D Split Body Resilient Seated
Two-piece epoxy-coated body, one-piece thin-profile disc and stem in 316 or duplex stainless, elastomer-lined or Halar-coated disc options, Center-LOK peroxide-cured seat, 2 in. to 24 in., 150 psig. NSF-61 and 372 listed.
Use it whenuse it when the media attacks a standard disc and you want a lined or coated disc with a one-piece disc and stem - no disc screws or taper pins to work loose. Also the pick where an integral one-piece stem and disc matters for reliability.
The corrosion-service and higher-duty end of the butterfly range: PTFE and PFA lined bodies, then double-offset and triple-offset metal-capable designs.
Series 40/41 Split Body Lined
PTFE-lined body with EPDM-backed seat, 316 or duplex stainless disc and stem, cast iron through stainless bodies, 2 in. to 24 in., 150 psig, wafer (40) or lug (41).
Use it whenuse it when the line is corrosive and you need the wetted path lined rather than solid alloy - acid and caustic duty where an alloy body would price the job out.
Series 42/43 Lined
PTFE, PFA or UHMWPE lined, or Halar coated, with PTFE/silicone, PTFE/FKM, PFA/silicone, PFA/FKM or UHMWPE/FKM seat combinations; disc available PTFE or PFA encapsulated at a minimum 3 mm thickness. 2 in. to 24 in., 150 psig.
Use it whenuse it when you need to match the liner to a specific chemical - this is the family with the widest liner and seat combination list. UHMWPE is the one to ask about on abrasive rather than purely corrosive service.
Series 44-49 High Performance Double Offset
Double-eccentric high performance butterfly to API 609 Category B. Series 44, 45 and 46 are Class 150 and Series 47, 48 and 49 are Class 300; carbon or stainless body, CF8M or CF8 disc, and seat options in Ultra, PTFE, RTFE, metal (stainless or Inconel) or firesafe. Sizes to 48 in. on Series 44, 45 and 46. Fire safe and NACE versions available.
Use it whenuse it when the service is beyond a rubber seat: hydrocarbons, steam, higher temperature, Class 300, or anywhere a firesafe or NACE certificate is required. Metal seat when the media or temperature will destroy a soft seat; soft seat when you want tighter shutoff.
Series 4 TriO Triple Offset
Triple-offset metal-seated valve, wafer, lug, double-flanged or buttweld body, carbon or stainless, Stellite Gr.21 seat with S31803, XM-19, Inconel 625 plus graphite or solid metal seal ring. Sizes to 48 in. on Series 4A, 4B, 4C and 4W. Firesafe and NACE are the default per the page.
Use it whenuse it when you need zero-leakage metal seat isolation with no rubbing wear - high temperature steam, cycling service, or as a torque-seated replacement for a gate valve in a butterfly footprint. This is the top of the butterfly range; do not lead with it on plain water.
Floating and trunnion-mounted ball valves to API 608, API 6D and ASME B16.34, tested to API 598 and ISO 5208. Firesafe and NACE versions are available across the range.
Series 65-72 Floating Ball
Flanged raised-face floating ball valve, 1/2 in. to 12 in. varying by series, with the class set by the series number: 65/69 Class 150, 66/70 Class 300, 67/71 Class 600, 68/72 Class 900. PTFE, RTFE, PEEK, Delrin, Devlon, Nylon or Ultra seats. Carries API 6D, NSF-61 and 372, SIL3 and CRN listings.
Use it whenthe default flanged ball valve. Pick the series by pressure class and the seat by media and temperature. Ask for the firesafe and NACE version on hydrocarbon service - it is a listed option, not a special.
Series 7/8 Trunnion Mounted Ball
API 6D trunnion-mounted ball, Series 7 in 2 in. to 14 in. and Series 8 in 16 in. to 24 in., Class 150 through 1500, flanged (RF or RTJ) or buttweld, carbon, stainless or duplex body, full and reduced bore. Double-block-and-bleed as standard with DIB-1 and DIB-2 seat arrangements available. Firesafe by default.
Use it whenuse it on pipeline and higher-pressure duty, and specifically when the spec calls for double block and bleed or a class above 900. This is the pick when a floating ball valve will not hold the differential.
Series 64 Three-Piece
Threaded or socket-weld three-piece ball valve, 1/2 in. to 2 in., Class 400 to 800 (1000 psi to 2000 psi), PTFE or RTFE seats.
Use it whenuse it on small-bore utility and instrument-adjacent lines where the customer wants to swab or rebuild the valve in place without cutting it out - the three-piece body comes apart between the end caps.
Series T Two-Piece Seal Welded
Threaded two-piece seal-welded ball valve, 1/4 in. to 2 in., 2000, 3000 and 6000 psi, RTFE or PEEK seats, API 608 and ASME B16.34. Firesafe and NACE available.
Use it whenuse it on high-pressure small bore - wellhead and instrument tubing pressures where the 6000 psi rating is the reason you are looking. Seal welded body means no body joint to weep, but also no field rebuild.
Series 75/76 One-Piece
One-piece flanged floating ball valve with a solid one-piece ball, 1 in. to 4 in., Series 75 Class 150 and Series 76 Class 300, self-relieving seats as standard, live loaded graphite stem packing.
Use it whenuse it when you want a flanged ball valve with no body joint at all in small sizes - fewer leak paths than a two-piece, at the cost of no in-line repair.
Series 2000 Shut Down Valve
Seal-welded CF8M full-port threaded shutdown valve, 1/2 in., 1 in. and 2 in., 2000 psig WOG, 316 stainless ball and stem, blowout-proof stem, integral top plate for direct mount actuation with the top plate open for leak detection. Fire tested and certified to API 607 6th edition and conforms to ANSI/NACE MR0175/ISO15156.
Use it whenuse it as the automated emergency shutdown element on oil and gas production equipment - it is built to be actuated, not hand operated, and the API 607 fire test plus MR0175 compliance are usually why it gets specified.
DelVal's own actuation, sized and mounted to its valves; brochures for the pneumatic units carry the DelTorq name.
Series 21 Pneumatic Rack and Pinion
Hard-anodized extruded aluminium body, ENP-coated alloy pinion, stainless end cap bolts, bi-directional external travel stops adjustable plus or minus 5 degrees in both open and closed, patented insert accepting double-D, ISO square or round keyed stems. SIL3 listed and ATEX certified.
Use it whenthe default quarter-turn pneumatic actuator for butterfly and ball valves in normal torque ranges. The adjustable travel stops matter when a resilient-seated butterfly needs its closed position trimmed on site.
Series 25 Pneumatic Scotch Yoke
Scotch yoke pneumatic actuator rated to 240,101 in-lbs (27,128 Nm). Double-acting to spring-return conversion by changing the cylinder and spring cartridge assembly; hollow design takes a universal adapter insert for direct mounting. SIL3 listed.
Use it whenuse it when the torque is beyond a rack and pinion, or when you need a spring-return fail position at high torque - large trunnion ball valves and big triple-offset valves. The field-convertible spring cartridge is worth mentioning to a maintenance customer.
Series 2E Electric
Electric actuator rated 885 to 26,550 in-lbs (100 to 3000 Nm), direct mount to DelVal valves, manual override and handwheel standard on all units, space heater standard, two auxiliary limit switches standard, modular internals.
Use it whenuse it when there is no reliable instrument air at the valve, or where the duty is occasional and running an air line is not worth it. Handwheel and space heater as standard is the practical selling point on outdoor installs.
Series 83 Limit Switch Box
Valve position monitor in a powder-coated die-cast aluminium body with polycarbonate dome, IP65 standard and IP67 available, two half-inch NPT conduit entries with M20 and three-quarter-inch NPT options, NAMUR mounting, minus 20 to 80 deg C, Honeywell SPDT mechanical switches standard with inductive and proximity options. Explosion-proof version on request, ATEX and SIL3 listed.
Use it whenadd it whenever the control system needs confirmed open and closed feedback rather than a commanded position. NAMUR mounting means it will sit on most actuators, not just DelVal's.
Series D65/D69 Automated Flanged Floating Ball
A factory-automated package: Series 65 and 69 floating ball valve with actuator pre-mounted, 1/2 in. to 8 in., ANSI Class 150 flanged, two-piece CF8M or WCB body, Ultra seat, live loaded graphite packing, two external travel stops on the actuator, serial number traceability, MTRs available, 3-year warranty.
Use it whenuse it when the customer wants one part number for the automated valve instead of buying a valve, an actuator and a mounting kit and assembling them. Good for repeat skid and OEM orders where consistency matters more than configurability.
