Dräger
Gas detection and safety technology.
Dräger is a safety product, and that changes what matters. A gas detector that's out of calibration isn't a paperwork problem. It's a detector that doesn't alarm. So most of what we do on this line isn't the sale: it's commissioning the system, calibrating it on a schedule, and replacing sensors before they drift. What we carry is almost entirely fixed detection, which is what a plant actually installs.
What we carry, by measurement
Pick what you’re measuring.
The transmitters that sit in the plant and watch for gas. Which sensing technology you need depends on the gas, not the location.
Choosing between them
A starting point, not a substitute for sizing. Send us the process conditions and we’ll do the calculation.
Polytron
The fixed transmitter platform, taking electrochemical and catalytic sensors across toxic, combustible and oxygen service.
Use it whenThe default for a fixed point in a plant. The transmitter stays; the sensor is what you match to the gas and replace over time.
Polytron PIR (infrared)
Point infrared detection for combustible hydrocarbons.
Use it whenCombustible gas in a location that would poison or blind a catalytic sensor: silicones, high humidity, or an area where you can't get to it often. Infrared doesn't react with the gas, so it doesn't get consumed.
The panel end. Detectors are only useful if something acts on them.
Regard
Controller and alarm systems that take the detector inputs and drive relays, horns, beacons and shutdown logic.
Use it whenYou have more than a couple of detection points and need one place that shows the state of all of them and trips on alarm.
The consumable part of a gas detection system, and the part most often forgotten until an alarm doesn't happen.
DrägerSensor
Replacement sensing elements across the toxic, combustible and oxygen range.
Use it whenA sensor is at end of life, or the gas you're watching for has changed. Every electrochemical sensor has a finite life whether or not it has ever seen gas. Plan the replacement, don't wait for a failure.
The part that makes the rest of it defensible. An uncalibrated detector is an assumption, not a measurement.
Calibration gas & bump test kit
Span and zero gases, regulators, and the bump-test hardware for verifying a detector responds.
Use it whenYou maintain your own detection and need the gas and fittings on hand. If you'd rather not, our Service team does the calibration on site and documents it.
Detecting the fire rather than the gas, often specified alongside gas detection on the same asset.
Flame detectors
Optical flame detection for hydrocarbon and hydrogen fires.
Use it whenYou're protecting an asset where a fire needs to be detected in seconds and a gas detector wouldn't see it: a flare, a compressor, a loading rack.
A small part of what we carry, and worth being straight about: our Dräger business is fixed systems. We can get portables, but the depth is in fixed.
Dräger-Tubes
Colourimetric tubes for spot-checking a specific gas with a hand pump.
Use it whenA one-off measurement, an odour investigation, or confirming a reading without installing anything.
X-am / Pac
Multi-gas and single-gas personal monitors.
Use it whenConfined-space entry and personal monitoring. Available, but tell us the application. For a fleet of portables there may be a better fit than what we normally stock.
Cross-references & replacements
Inherited a Dräger installation, or not sure what's due? Send us a photo of the transmitter label and the panel. We'll tell you what sensor it takes, whether it's still supported, and what calibration it needs. If a detector has been out of calibration long enough to be unreliable, we'll say so plainly.
